Conditions of participation and data protection Facebook and Instagram competitions

The promoter is PLATINUM Pet Food & Care Ltd, Unit 3, Apollo Park, Armstrong Way, Yate, BS37 5AH. The competitions are not connected to Facebook or Instagram and are in no way sponsored, supported or organised by Facebook or Instagram. The contact person and person responsible is solely the organiser.

By participating in the respective competition, participants accept the following terms and conditions of participation:

The respective entry period will be published in the posting text of the competition and is valid until 23:59 on the stated date - unless a different arrangement is described in the post.

1. Participation is only possible on the internet on the Facebook or Instagram platform, and membership of the Facebook or Instagram online community is also required.

2. The competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 years or older, except employees of PLATINUM Pet Food & Care Ltd and their close relatives and anyone otherwise connected with the organisation or judging of the competition.

3. There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.

4. PLATINUM is entitled to exclude participants from taking part in the prize draw if there are justified reasons (see for example § 7 No. 1). This applies in particular in the event that the participant violates the conditions of participation, attempts to manipulate the prize draw or uses other dishonest means.

5. Content from participants (e.g. comments or posts) that violate Facebook or Instagram guidelines, UK law or violate § 7 No. 1 of these terms and conditions of participation will be removed without notice after becoming known. In this case, the participant is also excluded from the competition.

1. Participation in the competitions requires that the participant is a Facebook fan or Instagram follower of PLATINUM.

2. The mechanics on which the competitions are based will be announced in the postings of the respective competition.

3. The electronically logged time of receipt of the entry to the competition on the server of the site operator is decisive for timely entry. 

4. The winners will be drawn at random.

1. The prizes of the PLATINUM competitions will be announced in the post of the respective competition.

2. The winners will be notified of their prize at the end of the competition via the Facebook or Instagram comment function of the respective post or via the Facebook or Instagram messaging service.

3. The prize will only be sent to the UK. PLATINUM will pay the shipping costs.

4. PLATINUM accepts no liability in the event of late receipt of the prize by the winner or for loss of the prize by post.

5. Participants in the competition who do not respond to a prize notification within four weeks lose their entitlement to the prize.

6. Should a prize be returned to the sender for return due to incorrect address data or non-collection (in the case of storage by the deliverer), the claim to the prize will also be forfeited without replacement.

1. Participants agree that personal data (e.g. name, e-mail address and, in the event of winning, the postal address of the respective participant) may be collected and electronically stored by PLATINUM.

2. PLATINUM will use all data collected in connection with the competition exclusively for the purposes of the competition and will not pass it on to third parties in any form, unless this is necessary, for example for the purpose of delivering the prize. Data collected in connection with this competition will be deleted after the competition has ended and the prizes have been sent.

3. The participant may object to the use of personal data at any time by sending written notification to PLATINUM Pet Food & Care Ltd, Unit 3, Apollo Park, Armstrong Way, Yate, BS37 5AH, UK or by e-mail to info@platinum.co.uk This will result in the deletion of the participant's details and the termination of participation.

PLATINUM reserves the right to change, cancel, adjust or terminate competitions at any time without prior notice and without stating reasons. This possibility can be used, among other things, if a proper realisation of the competition cannot be guaranteed for technical (e.g. virus, errors in the hardware and/or software, misuse of technical loopholes) or legal reasons.

1. The content (photos, comments, etc.) uploaded to the Facebook feed or Instagram during the competition period (see § 1) must not be obscene, offensive, glorify violence, pornographic or unethical. Furthermore, the content must not be of a commercial or advertising nature and must not contain false facts, competition, trademark or copyright infringements. The posting of such content may lead to the exclusion of the participant from the competition (see § 2 No. 4). 

2. The participant who has posted the content on PLATINUM's Facebook feed or Instagram is solely responsible for any legal infringements. 

3. Participants shall indemnify PLATINUM against all claims by third parties which have arisen as a result of the content provided by participants.

Legal recourse is excluded.
